While Nightjar was busy kicking Raven (however accidentally), a roaming Derp crawled right over Wildfire. Her baby buzzsaw of a growl escalated into an indignant squeal, only to cut off abruptly when she realized she was receiving a free massage. Her litter mate's paws kneaded her side for a moment longer before slipping away and vanishing. Wildfire grunted questioningly. When the kneader didn't return, she began whimpering, the sound quickly growing in pitch...

That warm, wet thing swiped over her again. It didn't startle her this time, so she did not complain. She gave a happy peep. Her forelegs jerked awkwardly as if making a grab for Peregrine's tongue. These twitches and jerks were involuntary, the very same movements she'd made in the womb. Now there was so much more space to stretch her legs. It was a strange sensation, not that Wildfire thought too hard about it. The motions slowed, then ceased altogether, as she tumbled unwittingly into sleep.
