Fin growled softly at his embrace, her playful writhings suddenly melting into tender touches. She leaned her head back to allow him free access to her throat. It was a show of trust that she rarely had given to anyone, but also one hell of a bright green light. She felt that familiar stirring in the pit of her stomach as he pressed against her. Each kiss came with a jolt of electricity that served to fuel her growing need for him.

Finley was quickly losing herself to this moment, but a kiss upon her muzzle brought her head back above water. She turned her head slightly as he nibbled at her cheeks, ears twitching when she heard her very favorite words whispered into them. Fin felt a flutter in her heart which seemed to only swell as the seconds expanded. Her eyes found his and suddenly, time stopped as the most peculiar urge rose within her to say something that she only just barely managed to bite back before it spilled from her lips.

Because as much as she loved him and wanted to give herself fully to him, she couldn't yet. Elwood may have successfully shut the door on the demons in the closet, but there was no lock on the door. They would come out eventually, and in truth they needed to. Finley wasn't about to let that happen, though. Everything was too good, too perfect, and it would all go away the moment the door opened.

So, she held her tongue, pulled him closer and whispered back. "I love you too," Fin said softly into his ear, then proceeding to return his kisses down the side of his face towards his throat with a purr that she knew he knew was the it's on signal.
