All Welcome
Fast paced thread!

At some point, the spider assumed, the entire territory grew a plethora of plants and flowers. This morning it was dusted with sparse, thready overgrowth and dead wood. No flowers were currently blooming as the seasons began to dip from warm, sunny days to short, chilly nights. Perhaps a depressing scene for most, it was simply a signal of change and renewal for the Sawtooth. Once winter had lifted its terror new flowers would dot the territory.

For now it provided a supple excess to prey animals that were currently grazing within the horizon. Some of the larger bulls were snorting and stomping their hooves at the scent and sight of an inky blob within their midst but the spider was not hunting today. The tight pack of deer continued their agendas, bulking up on rich roots and sugary fruits before migrations started.

Tall ears swayed flippantly, wide paws continuing their trek through the territories with the vast echo of the Arrow Falls at the Delta's sharply-cut back. The lake that cupped the little meadow would soon be ripe with fish and until then the aspiring warden hoped to scope out every advantage in the mean time.
