He'd skirted the shore a bit, though it went against his nature; The smell of a residing wolf pack was enough to change his mind about following the beach. But here again, his passage was blocked by the scent of wolf - another pack, though maybe not as big as the last one. For a moment, he thought about trying to pass through quickly and avoid dectection - but that was never a good idea. Then, he considered going around yet again, taking the long way and the added risk of losing his path. That was ridiculous, though - on both counts. (He'd never lose the sea, but why would he go even further from it?)

No, the best thing to do was call and ask for safe passage, as was custom in most places. So he stood carefully to one side of the border and lifted his muzzle to give a short, questioning howl. With any luck, someone would be by before long, and he would explain his dilema to them as quickly and effciently as he could. He'd pass through without trouble, and be that much closer to finding one of his half-siblings.

And he needed to find them. It was clear to him that this was a sick land - the lack of greenery and prey was proof enough. He had to make sure they were okay. Mostly Szymon, to be frank - Skellige and Ishlid could certainly care for themselves, but Szymon, in this land. Perish the thought.

But there was a part of him that had ulterior motives about calling to this pack. There was a part of him that rather liked the idea of starting new, where he could make his own name instead of forever being known as the bastard son of Bronislav.
