Harlyn felt dazed as she woke within the Crook. Glazed as her eyes were, she blinked at her surroundings and sought to know the shapes within the dark and to whom they belonged. For the moment, the place was empty, and it compelled the dusky woman to pull herself painstakingly to her paws and emerge into the bright sunlight - a feat she had not managed for many days.

Terrible hurt echoed throughout the alpha's body as she strode, but even as she sat upon her haunches and slid to her belly in the Summer sunlight, she grimaced in effort not to show it. It seemed as though months had passed since her run-in with the wolverine and the chaotic escalation that had followed. Much of her time had been spent healing, and even now she recognized the limp thing at the end of her arm as a poison to her being that likely needed to be removed. But for the moment, she was quiet upon the landscape, her mind sweeping across all that had occured and painstakingly considering each different path down which her road now diverged.
