All Welcome
After a few days of foraging and fishing around the island chain, Hemithea felt the urge to explore beyond it. It meant leaving behind the Nereides for the time being - and most of them were content living on their island in seclusion from the world, which was perfectly fine for the wayward daughter of the sea.

She wanted to be a part of their world again - she wanted to be home, but it just didn't feel right, not yet. So Hemithea ventured along the thin land bridge, plunged in to the sea, and made her way to the coast of the mainland again. She hadn't told anyone of her urge to explore, which may or may not come back to bite her in the ass... But the initiate did not think about that.

Hours after her departure from the main island, she was upon a sprawling beach — this one reaching farther than the eye could see. She was tired, but invigorated from her swim and the great ordeal that the travel had been; so rather than set for a hunt (for a meal or a trinket, as either would be of value later), Hemithea basked in her exhaustion, feeling the wind blustering through her damp fur as it had upon Soteria.
