I shouldn't have said that. You didn't do it, she said softly. Even through her anger and hurt, she could see that whether it was this female, or another, Steph felt replaced by Murdock. If Steph had met Poppy under different circumstances, she might have really liked her and been curious about her species. She had never met a wolf with her markings, and they were pretty interesting. But, at the moment, Steph couldn't bring herself to be that friendly. She would at least let Poppy off the hook, and maybe in the coming days she would revisit the female in a more friendly manner. Maybe.
