Trespassing on an unestablished pack's territory, as he were, it was only a matter of time before Balthazar would find his sleep disturbed by the cacophonous notes of another wolf's growl. Though neither ignorant or disrespectful towards boundaries, it was indeed in this brute's nature to miss signs if he was focused on something else. Needless to say, he hadn't recognized his wrong-doing until it was too late; and even then, he wouldn't be apologetic about it.

Slowly he roused, deliberately taking his time as the she-wolf went on with her warning. He pulled himself from beneath the overhang, revealing more than his exposed backside, and the cream wolf turned to face his accuser with sour eyes, unimpressed with her display.

She was certainly a sight however. Beautiful in her own right, with those charged blue eyes and a curiosity of scars littering her otherwise immaculately-shaped black form. She was large and fit, as he preferred his females, but clearly not in the mood to accept any of his wanton fancy. His tail moved slowly back and forth, like a pendulum counting the slow moments before a fight starts.

"What?" he deadpanned, sharp eyes on her with fearless impunity.
