Quixote was slowly drifting back towards something he'd call normal.  There were still a few things troubling him, but for much of the day he could push them aside and deal with more ordinary things, like trying to get back into good routines with the pups here and Raven pretty much healed.  Really, the things that were keeping him off-kilter weren't so bad any more, thankfully -- or maybe just impossible to change at this point.  It didn't really matter.

The fact that he felt totally freakin' useless dealing with the newborns had actually made him go back on patrol sooner than he thought he would have, and that was part of the reason he found himself wandering along a section that he had checked... Was it still under 24 hours ago?  Probably.

He wasn't alone out today, as Quixote was quickly catching up on a brown smear of a wolf that kept appearing in his field of vision just a turn or a clump of trees ahead of him.  Since this was all sort of just a follow-up check to Qui, he was moving at a much faster clip, and would easily come into a comfortable range for him to shout to Colt to wait a minute.  Though even from just a cursory glance, it seemed like this time it was Colt's turn to be caught up in his own head -- didn't look like he was inspecting any of the scent marks at least, more just walking along the slightly worn path the patrols had carved.  Amusing how that went.  Hey, hold up!  he called, picking up his pace to close the distance that much faster.
