Blacktail Deer Plateau one part longing, one part need, the rest withstanding

He followed the sylph to her claim, which had been every bit as impressive as she'd foretold.  The plateau was tucked against a near-vertical wall which would protect them from the cutting winter winds, and at its foot was a freshwater source that he was sure some fisher better than him was taking advantage of.

The first task at hand was to put himself to work, and he was quick to intergrate his scent with those upon the border so that he would not be questioned by those who knew not his name and face.  Broad paws carried him at a steady rate as he prowled along the edge of the plateau, marking here and there to strengthen the hold on the plateau as well as make it clear to those who would pass: this ironclad warrior was part of the plateau.
