Although Caiaphas' question was simple, he hesitated. "Kinda," Wyatt replied as his ears flattened. "I got beat up by that Drageda kid," he admitted, his voice quiet, "And I don't know how to make it better..."
As he trailed, a salty sweep of ocean wind buffeted the coast and caused him to winch. Feeling tears gather in his eyes, as the sting of his wounds was remarkable, Wyatt dropped his gaze to the ground; he didn't want to appear as weak as he actually was.
