silent steps drew nearer to the resting coywolf, cupped ears at the whispered spell that carried with the wind. the youngling hesitated with every stride closer, hoping not to intrude on her mentor's space. it wasn't very often the shadow was alone, she didn't wish to irk any personal thoughts she might be having. however, the absence of being Erianthe's shadow had formed a ball of anxiety that could only be released by returning to her position. she circled to the front of the boulder, canting her head as gleaming eyes of jade and grey admired the witch.

"i hope i'm not intruding," she finally spoke, sending her friend a faint smile. although she'd rather have Erianthe speak earnestly, a part of her hoped deeply that the faery would wish to have her protege around even if it meant only them lying beneath a blanket of stars and silence.

Petra was more absent-minded than that of her adviser and hadn't truly grasped the fickleness that is expected of Sheigrim. her worries were reserved to more her trepidation of fruitlessness. she still had yet to discover her familiar or special skill- was she sun or moon? she knew every Wiccan unveiled these traits at different times, but it wouldn't be long until she was behind the mundane. she had never desired to be a prodigy... nonetheless she dreaded the idea of lagging. she trusted the path that the heavenly body had placed her on, still did they have to choose one with such endless possibilities?
