“We might seek refuge with the Melonii...they are the family which the male Maker resides with. Perhaps he too is there.” She hadn’t seen Marruz in atleast a full moon and a half, if not more. And Ancients forbid she see him- her wrath will be endless. He had foresaken her in her most important of times. She had no idea how mothering would be, nor what to do. Yet it could not be more painful that death, yes?

”They are not far- just this way,” and she began to take the direction of the trail Marruz had slinked from, delicate limbs prematurely finding the softest places for sore pads to land.
