All Welcome
Not sure if joining! For now, Naia just wants to know who lives here.

It had been roughly three days since Naia’s stop along the Serpent Lake. She had moved on from the territory quickly once she realized that there was no one around. Her hunt for the spider would not go well if she couldn’t find other wolves. Along the way, she had hunted at any opportunity that presented itself. It was summer now and game small and large was abound. Naia was used to eating rabbits, mostly, though she also ate fish, snakes, lizards, mice… anything small and easy for one coywolf to catch. She had her father’s blood in her and probably would have flourished with all the meat from a deer or some other big game, but she had lived with her coyote mother all her life and did not know the first thing about catching bigger prey, especially not on her own.

In late afternoon on the third day, she had caught the scent of a pack on the wind. This was the first she had come across in weeks and her whole body perked up at the thought of speaking to others. Just as the sun disappeared below the tree line, Naia arrived at the edge of a dark and foreboding forest, one that her mother would have told scary stories about. She looked around the trees, hearing the wind rustle through them and the distant call of ravens, and imagined all manner of monstrous creatures roaming the wood. It spooked her, yet she felt a comforting draw towards it, for it reminded her of her mother—of home.

Feeling a calling that she could not ignore, she tilted her head back and h0wled longingly into the coming night for whomever was in the trees to come out and greet her. It would make sense for her spider to live in a place like this.
