Pippin sought many things in life now. His wayward tendencies had served him decent enough in his more youthful years, but with the birth of Meerkat, it raised an underlying desire within him—one that was denied to him, and thus, one of the prime reasons the Ostrega had determined it was time to settle… and on his terms, now.
Grey clouds rolled overhead—the perfect setting to his mood as he stole across the slightly familiar lands of the glades. His visitation to Rising Sun Valley has been brief, and his answers within solidly founded. He did not wish to return there. The vague memories he clung to were still too painful, and so the Hinterlands had drawn him back, and it was in this region he felt most at home.
His eyes glanced up, his attention suddenly stolen by the wisp of sand and gold fur. He paused, considering the moment before he moved closer, announcing his presence with an uttered ‘woof’ to garner attention. It seemed he was not the only contemplative beast in the glade this day.
