She had not been born a great hunter for matters like these. To do the chase required great effort on her lumbering part. Yet she grew hungrier by each passing day. The knowledge that she would have to catch something soon plagued her.
Which had left her to decide to go big. The muddied scent of deer trailed the woods. A good sign for her hunger pains. There was something else too. Something more akin to herself, but was that actually a fresh scent? Did she have competition?
As she followed along the trail, it seemed so. Especially as it happened she was following directly behind them on a course the other had already set. Shilloh had no doubt that soon enough she would be behind them.
Perhaps she could convince them into sharing spoils.
