"Deep breaths, don't let them see your face like that, calm yourself child." He whispered quickly to him. Right as Venere lunge for his throat, joining her brother. He now had not one, but two pups hanging on his throat. He knew their grips wouldn't last forever, especially Vidaar's now that he had been there for some time.

He wondered not for the first time if he should call for help, but he didn't even know where Vex was. And who knew how long it would take for her to get here. That's what he told himself anyway, it was nothing about pride at all. He growled angrily at the pups hanging off of him and shook himself, swinging the pups wildly, with any luck he'd dislodge their grip this way.
