her legs shifted under her. a new sensation, in the physical way. what they did next seemed to be instinct.

she tried to find her sister next, knowing no sibling or parent would ever be too far from her. yet although she stood steady on her newfound ability, it was a whole other thing to begin moving. so she offered soft sounds, needy and impatient.
