Tempest's history was a strange one, and therefor immediately suspect. Fox ignored the rest of the girl's words. “Why were they killed?” she asked. Perhaps it was uncouth to ask such a thing, but Fox needed to know what they could have done to be killed. If Tempest was a risk for the caldera, Fox certainly wouldn't feel comfortable accepting her. It also got her wondering as to whether or not Tempest would have a soft spot for their canine cousins.
