The Warchief (she would never think of herself as anything else) moved with purpose towards the border of the lands her son had claimed. She had left behind Aktaie and Oak Heart, with their blessing she sought the fruit of their endeavors. Aklhut and Taktuq were both bold and brave and she had followed the scent of her daughter to the strange lands. Taktuq's scent had grown faint, but Aklhut's strong. She would let go of her daughter for the time being and seek out the dark boy that reminded her of the great black bear, Sos.

Approaching a border and not simply marching over purposefully felt strange. She had always been a leader, and it was only her love of the boy that kept her from stalking over the edge. Instead the Kesuk matriarch tipped her shaggy white head back and let out a low howl, summoning anyone who could grant her entrance. She would see her boy, and would not be denied.
