Since speaking with Chakliux, Nantahala had stayed close to the lodge. She offered to help where she could, hunted or searched for Seelie during downtime, and prepared meats and furs in her downtime. She kept herself busy to keep her homesickness at bay. The feeling crept in occasionally, and she quickly jumped to a new task whenever her heart wrung with sadness.

Nantahala was evading homesickness when she approached the lodge, and when she stood on their doorstep, she poked her head in. @Puffin? she called into the darkness, hoping to find her. You there? Up for a hunt? There was a slight edge of desperation to her voice; she needed a distraction.

Puffin popped out of the darkened entrance to the lodge without delay or greeting, tail waving high in the air. Always! The seal hunter girl agreed easily, eyes bright as she glanced over Nantahala. She still wasn't sure what to think of the blonde, but Puffin had found no reason not to be friendly just yet.

Got anything in mind? Puffin took the lead even as she questioned the sunshine girl. She would decide where they hunted, of course. What would a mountain wolf know of seaside hunting?

Puffin appeared quickly, and Nantahala was thrilled to see her. While they’d met in passing, they’d never had any time alone, and she felt this was one of many opportunities to prove herself to the seal hunting wolves.

Hmm, Nantahala drawled, considering their options. Chakliux had presented a few interesting prospects when they’d spoken, and she thought those over before she decided. How about some cliff hunting for birds? she offered, her tone bright and excited. I’ve never hunted there before, but I learn quickly and will help however I can!
