Starglow Basin I'll destroy you like I am

Leto is impatient for her symptoms to show. How long is she to wait before she knows that she is or is not carrying?

Castel is out and about, she does not wish to see Beau, and Saya is gone. She needs a friend, or at least someone willing to let her talk their ear off.

Paws pace the basin, itching for something, anything to keep busy. Leto is not one to sit still, and yet she does not know what she can or cannot do. Her mother is not here to guide her through this, nor her older sisters. She misses them dearly.

She misses home.

Saleem recognized the smell from the year prior, though it could not remember it being quite so sweet. It lingered on the pale woman who paced up ahead, and Saleem jogged toward her with interest and curiosity. He had flirted with plenty of young women in his short life, and something about that scent automatically put him into that mindset.

He slowed his pace as he drew closer, his chest puffed out just a smidge. Hey, he said, swishing his tail just so.

A man approaches, cutting through her thoughts. She slows her quickened pace to allow him to catch up to her with ease.

He is younger than her, though maybe not by much. Years of being surrounded by younger brothers makes it easy to tell; she thinks so at least.

You're a new face. She speaks, offering a smile while her tail waves at her hocks. Have you been in Verapaz long? She thought she had been quite good at keeping track! How distracted had she been recently to miss a whole wolf?

He watched as she eyeballed him, and Saleem finds himself pleased by her attentiveness. Not only that, but she offered up a question of her own regarding him. Sylianos could brag all he wanted about how good he was with the gals, but Saleem had solid proof right here, right now. Already he was itching to tell his twin about this encounter, even if it went south from here—he'd leave that part out of his retelling, obviously.

Not too long, he replied, adding a casual shrug. How 'bout you? he asked. He took a moment to study her appearance a bit longer. There was something odd about her skin, her eyes, her nose, but since he had never seen anybody affected by albinism before, the blue-eyed Galanis didn't have a name for what he saw.

She ponders his question for a moment. Ah.. a few moons now? Since the end of summer, I believe. She was not sure of the exact timeline, of course. Her trip to Sapphique had took quite a bit of time from her life in Verapaz.

My name is Leto. And yours? Ever-friendly and ever-clueless, she continues to smile upon the other. It feels good to get her mind off of her potential pregnancy, along with the men who caused it.

So, she'd been around for a hot second. Saleem wasn't sure if he was supposed to be surprised or not. She certainly seemed like she knew what was going on, but then again, he definitely had no fucking clue what was happening here at any given moment. He was too concerned and focused on his brother to worry about anybody else.

Saleem Galanis, he replied. My brother, Sylianos, needed some medical attention. The guy who doesn't make any sense helped us out, so I guess we're here for a bit. What brought you here? he asked. To be fair, he didn't really care about the answer except that it meant he would get to look at her for a little bit longer. And boy did he like looking at her!

Her expression turned into one of worry as he spoke of his brother. Is your brother doing better now? She hoped so - it was never pleasant to hove an injured sibling.

He then asked a curious question. Leto had to ponder it for a moment. I followed a man here - I really liked him too. But then he disappeared; probably dead. And she had moved right on - not intentionally, but after some green Soto had looked real good for a short moment.. and Beau, and Castel, and Saya too.

I didn't think they would keep me here, really, but apparently I do a good job of making babies. So far, that was. Who knew what she might give birth to, if at all.
