The stranger noticed them both at length and regarded them with respectful nuetrality. She was pondering how to approach a conversation with her when Mordecai took her attention as he made to push her away playfully. Harlyn gave him a smirk and nipped at his nose as he pulled away, but soon enough her attention returned to the other wolf.
Leaving Mordecai to slake his thirst at the lake's edge, Harlyn picked up her heels to trot steadily over to the other wolf. She assumed Mordecai would follow soon enough, but would not at all have been perturbed if he chose to stay behind. When she came within a few yards of the other female she paused, her posture relaxed and the waving tail at her haunches a sign that she meant no harm.
"Hello there," Harlyn greeted with a smile. There was curiosity apparent in her eyes as she regarded the girl, but she held her tongue for now - a simple hello sufficient enough for the moment.
