All Welcome
@Sebastian, perhaps?
Still AW and I would love to thread with anyone

Damien had never really had to fight for his status. But it was to be expected, once Damien came back, that everyone would have made themselves comfortable without him. Life had been relatively easy for Damien in terms of social status, being son of the night mother and matriarch of the pack had helped a lot, and his confidence (read: arrogance) had kept him on the top ranks since he'd hit adulthood out of the sheer illusion of superiority.

Just a few hours after re-entering Blackfeather Woods' territory, strutting around the forest as it was usual, the dark yearling noticed one of the upper wolves brandishing their tail indiscreetly high above their back like Damien wasn't even standing right there. He tried to out-stand it with his own posture as a mere reflex, but it was immediately met with bared teeth. That's when he understood that he had lost his status while on his journey, and now would have to climb up the ranks like a new recruit. It was only fair, seeing that Damien had not been productive at all for the pack during the time away, but of course, it was like the worst thing that ever happened to Damien and his whole world almost crumbled down in pieces.

Damien set out to complain with Burke with a two-month-pup-worthy scowl across his face and quick pace, until a peculiar shadow caught his attention. He slowed down to get a proper focus on it for a moment, not without the remnants of a frown still hanging on his face.

Sebastian was getting more adjusted to the way this pack worked. He was almost getting into a routine which  was good. He had seen his father in passing several times and they had a quick chat. It almost felt a bit normal. Sebastian hadn't been meeting a lot of wolves yet, mainly because this territory was quite big. The large male also had met his brother, he wondered if he would join these woods. He hoped so. Then then would have part of their family together. Though Sebastian wasn't sure if Burke wanted his past invading these woods. And most of all that arrogant 'prince' of a dark male was probably not going to like it. Sebastian could mostly understand that because before that Damien really didn't have any competition, but when Nat would join... damn. Sebastian didn't see himself as competition for Damien. He wasn't a leader type.

Sebastian trotted through the forest carrying a rabbit. His pace stopped once he was close to the caches, instead of eating the fresh rabbit he added it to the caches and took out the most rotten piece. The large male nibbled a bit on the carcass when he realized he had been watched. He lifted his head and his pale eyes tried to make out the shadow. So many shadows in this place, which was so strange because there wasn't any lights!

Damien wasn't yet ready to behold the sight.

The quick-tempered yearling almost let his rant go off when he caught a glimpse of the Alpha's unmistakable shape, but bit his tongue when the characteristic knot at the end of his muscled hips was replaced by a fully functional tail. It took a couple seconds to connect the dots, but it became clear that it wasn't Burke his eyes had caught. It was Sebastian.

Damien stayed blended with the shadows for a moment. He had been less than an hour back home, and the last thing he wanted to see so soon was Burke's bastard. But Damien tried to be more thoughtful this time, and observed the true Rochester like prey from the comfort of the dark's cloak until he decided it was time for a welcoming. It was his mission to keep an eye on him after all, and making a scene was no way to start things off this time.

"So the rumors were true..." spoke Damien scornfully as he slowly stepped out of the blackest of shadows with obviously dominant body language. "There is one more Rochester among us..."

Sebastian's eyes stayed up from his meal. He didn't need to take long before the shadow revealed itself. It was the younger pup, the arrogant little bastard, he met at the BFW borders before. Now he wasn't a pup anymore but clearly an adult. Sebastian smiled internally as he was still bigger. Sebastian pushed himself to his feet so he was standing. Instantly the male spoke about a rumor. Was it really? The boy was know to talk lies so Sebastian wasn't really believing him. Sebastian almost wanted to mention there were more, after all Nathaniel was here too now. He wasn't sure how Burke was going to react to that. "It is true," he returned a bit stiffly.

Sebastian could remember their conversation well. He really thought that this pup was Burke's son but later he found out through the white annoying princess that Burke had merely adopted them as their own, they weren't his by blood. Still Sebastian did not feel the need to revive that piece of history. He knew by now that Burke had embraced them as his own and there was little he could do about. The male's pale eyes fell on the other, maybe he had grown up well and was this Damien better to communicate with.

The size difference between Damien and Sebastian had tightened since the last time they'd seen each other. While the Rochester was still larger than Damien in bulk, the Melonii had already bested the male in height. Damien was exactly the way he liked to be, he was strong enough to face Sebastian, but had an agility the other male lacked.

Damien had clear memories of his last encounter with Sebastian too; he remembered insulting him several times and making his best to make the poor bastard feel even worse with himself, and he definitely remembered feeling accomplished when he saw Sebastian's sorry ass walking away. Those had been good days. But things were different now, and it was more than likely that Sebastian knew the truth about Damien's parents, putting the dark male in an awkward position.

"Feeling comfortable already?" asked Damien despitefully, hiding poorly his true feelings towards the Rochester bastard.

Sebastian felt quite uneasy with his whole conversation. It felt so forced and the male just wanted to go away. Maybe this Nemesis had been right and he didn't belong her. The male watched Damien. He was unsure what to think of him. He should probably give him another chance but after what he said Sebastian was slightly bitter about the idea of forgiving him. Damien probably didn't even want him. "No, not at all," she retuned to his question. It would probably be clear to the other already with his tense body. He wanted to be here to get to know Burke better but he was not sure if he liked dealing with his packmates. This dark forest was quite different from any other place he lived.

Sebastian's answer was satisfactory enough for Damien. The dark male knew that this place was not for the Burke's bastard, and he doubted it would be a moon before he ran away with his tail tucked between his thighs like the last time they spoke. Damien's lips curved up in a presumptuous grimace as his self-confidence was boosted a tenfold. This guy was easy.

"Then why stay?"asked the yearling arrogantly, and almost threateningly, with that smile sowed to his face. It was clear that Damien did not like the idea of sharing his forest with his step-brother.

Sebastian's face became determined when Damien questioned him with that smirk on his lips. The young male looked over him for a moment before replying. "Because I am not a quitter, I will want to try my best," he explained. He might not be comfortable here but he hadn't been in the beginning when he was at Redhawk. Sebastian just needed to adjust himself and put himself back on the map. The young male looked at the other. Sebastian would probably have to be kicked out if he was going to leave before matters were resolved with his father.

"So I guess you are checking up on me...," he decided to state the obvious, at least he had the feeling he was being watched, always. Burke probably assigned several wolves to keep an eye on him, even if he was here to snoop around then that probably would be impossible.

Damien almost didn't hold back his laughter when Sebastian stated he was no quitter. He couldn't erase the image of him walking away from Blackfeather Woods without any gain that time they met, and he'd heard the male had come repeatedly, being turned away all of those times. Perhaps it was true, he was persistent, but that didn't mean he was going to get something out of Burke, even if this time he'd allowed him to stay in the forest. A smirk was drawn across Damien's face, clearly amused, but he did not say anything.

"I'm not checking up on you..." claimed Damien, "I'm making sure you don't stay here too long," he stated with a smirk, a challenge which would eventually help him find out Sebastian's true reasons to be so determined to stalk his father.

Sebastian scowled then the other laughed in his face, feeling a bit stupid though he wasn't showing that. Only the scowl was seen. The wolf stepped a bit back. He disliked these lands and the wolves that lived on it. But he wasn't going to let himself be talked down by this jerk of a wolf. Little did Sebastian know he would soon be kicked out by Burke himself. The male also wasn't sure how to reply to the other. He decided to go with "Okay, good luck with that," and to then walk off, keeping his eye on the other so he would know if the wolf was going to attack or not.

It was a shame to see such a powerful body be wasted on someone so coward. Damien snorted at the grey male's reaction to his own words, but kept in place, watching Sebastian boil in anger right there, just a few steps away, and not doing anything about it. A little part of Damien was begging for Sebastian to attack (, not true, it was actually the only thing he wanted right then), but that desire was not fulfilled. Sebastian tried his best at a snarky comeback and walking away, but Damien couldn't let it go that easily. "I believe I won't be needing a lot of that,"
There. That would suffice.
