They've chosen to flee from their home they once defended and knowing what bit he does about the other packs in the region of the Taiga, he doubts any of them will be giving them any nearby refuge. Most likely, they are far from here already and while it is disappointing to see no real action in this battle today, it is still a win for them and a very easy one at that.
