Burke had gone for his daily patrol, not really expecting that Malice would have given birth once he would return. The male also made it his duty to bring her some food in return. The male knew she had to eat frequently. Hence why it took him longer than usual. He did not succeed in catching anything this time, and had to return empty handed. The caches were barely non excistent. But he just wanted to see her and rest a bit before he would go out again and try once more to find her a meal.

Once the male came to his den, he instantly noticed the smell was different. The large male smelled blood and other fluids. On top of that he heard the soft squeals. His ears perked up, his head tipping a bit in surprise. He popped his head inside, not sure if Malice would allow him inside and see his newborns. A father once more. "Malice?," he asked, eyes adjusting to the darkness. "Can I come in? Are you okay?," he questioned.
