Sleeping Dragon Apatite

As reassurance came to the rescue Freyja smiled and leaned into the adult’s touch, her tongue snaking out quickly to place a quick peck on Portia’s nose. Pulling back, the pair made their way closer to the river as they attempted to hunt down the otter.

An odd smell came across her nose moments after Portia had caught wind of it and as Freyja caught one she paused and sniffed heavily at the air. “I think I got it,” she announced. It surely smelled fishy and yet had on original flair to it. Shifting her position to accommodate the direction in which the smell came from, Freyja lifted and waved her tail.

Without any other warning, the child suddenly pushed down hard on the ground and barked an excited, “Come on, Portia!” She knew she would slow once they drew closer to the river, but she wanted to get them up to pave in hopes that the otter was lurking nearby.
