Tiny PP   @Adeline

The wind was a bit chilly as they headed over to Marino River. Philos followed behind Adeline who had insisted on taking the lead. Philos played around, pretending to be a dutiful soldier marching behind her. He could hear the flow of the river and imagained how it would soon be frozen and still. The thought of winter and the cold excited him, bringing a sway to his tail.

As they reached the river Philos stepped forward and lowered his head to take a drink. The water was nice and refreshing. He was all set and ready to teacher her how to fish.

Her tail wagged the entire way to the river, and she kept glancing back to ensure that Philos was still following. He never seemed to waver in their trek, and it made her even more joyful. Once, she thought about turning this into a chase, but she wasn't sure how much energy she would need for fishing, so she conserved it.

They reached the water's edge, and she paused a few feet away, her gaze scanning the water as Philos took a drink. A mischievous grin crept onto her face, and suddenly she went up on her back legs. She used her front legs to attempt to push on Philos' backside in an effort to push him into the chilly water.

As he took a drink he began to feel pressure of two little paws on his baskside. Taking him off guard in his lowered stance his head and front legs were pushed into the water. He lifted himself with his front legs which brought his head above water. The water was cool but not cold enough to make Philos feel much of it with his thick pelt. He looked back at Adeline playfully glaring at her. He turned and took his paw, sliding it through the water and then towards Adeline in an attempt to splash her where she stood on shore.

Shaking his fur and getting out of the water he said "Ok, now if you actually want to catch a fish you can't be pushing me in the water." a bit of a chuckle escaping as he spoke "The water needs to be undisterbed so the fish don't get scared away."

Philos' fell in, the front half of his body going under water. Adeline failed in stifling a laugh as he glared back at her. He looked funny with only half his body wet and the other half dry. She squealed mid-laugh as he splashed a little water her way, her tail thumping the ground. He was always up for some fun, and she liked that about him.

She gave a hrmph sound as he instructed her that the water needed to be calm so the fish wouldn't be scared away. Sure sure, she said, half believing him. Maybe he just didn't want to get pushed in again. She grinned as the thought crossed her mind to push him in again, and she gave him a sideways glance, half tempted to. But, she would give him the benefit of the doubt, and sit and wait for the water to calm down.

That lasted all of two seconds before she was up and prancing around Philos. Okay, I have no patience today. Let's do something else, she said honestly, not ashamed that she couldn't sit there long enough to let the water calm, let alone long enough for the fish to come swimming by again.

The silence seemed to be nonexistent as Adeline was soon prancing around Philos in circles saying she could learn this skill another day. Philos rolled his eyes as he shook his head with a small smirk. He shrugged "Ok" he said simply and when Adeline was between Philos and the river, Philos bumped her hopping that she would be thrown in the water just as she had done to him.

He didn't seem upset that she had changed the course of their plans, and she was obviously of his revengeful thoughts. That was, until she felt the push on her side, and she squealed as her body hit the water. It was cold, but she knew she deserved it. She came sputtering out of the water, a grin on her face as she looked towards Philos.

With a strong slap of the water with her front leg, she tried to force a wave of water at him, her intent loud and clear as she didn't try to be sneaky about it. She barked playfully at him, not caring that she would probably have to find a spot to warm up in once this game was over.
