the dark brotherhood lay before her, and vuk saw only one hope for her redemption; it lay just beyond her reach, and the she-wolf pondered well what cicero had told to her as the sun descended on the last day she had seen her son. the dying glow reached its eldritch beams into the forest — it was then that the tyro silently turned and sought out her mate with the quiet lowering of her muzzle to the earth.
@Terich-mir — she found him near the small den they had found for themselves, and vuk moved to his side, kissed his cheek. she did not speak of seff, for vuk could not bear it if their son's name was spoken now. her eyes found his own as darkness began to descend in a cold veil over the wood, and pressed her lips against his mouth, forward as she had never been. she sought to stir him into a weltering madness, until he covered her and they gleaned pleasure from one another.
and she lay in his embrace, waiting, as if his foreleg slung over her waist was the silk of her web, and she a spider simply awaiting the crucial moment. vuk rolled to face terich — her lashes brushed the dark fur beneath her eyes as she lay her muzzle across terich's throat and breathed his scent. how she loved him; how her features trembled with her love for terich, her gratitude for all he had done; how could she do this. how ...
and within her, the woman she had been screamed as her lips skinned back from her teeth and she grabbed hold of the sleeping man's throat, biting as deeply as she was able. terich's eyes flew wide with horror and fear, and pain — the wolfess saw it writ there upon his features.
blood sprayed from between her jaws as she held to his wildly heaving body; she swallowed the crimson jet, was blinded by it, choked by it. and when vuk parted her jaws, she realized she too was shrieking, until her throat shredded itself, screaming his name over and over and over again as he died at her feet.
her eyes darted wildly to and fro o'er her wide-stretched jaws, and there she saw it: a boulder. the screaming of her inner self would not abate, would not quiet; the tyro launched into a mad run and struck herself against the flat stone surface. she reverberated from the rock, stunned, but leapt at it again, and again, until her teeth broke through her lips, until blood poured from her ears, and her tongue was bitten through and spat aside.
vuk twitched numbly upon the ground alongside terich, her eyes wide and staring at the dark canopy, drowning, drowning on the thick carpet of scarlet that blanketed the earth and their bodies. she strove for breath to say one final word to ears that were not there to hear her, and though the faces of her husband and her son swam to her fading soul, it was "r-reek" that became her last whisper before she stilled her movement and thus the howling of her tormented mind.

Sheogorath had not been far, for he wanted to be sure that his task was carried out. Ideally he would have watched the whole thing, but he knew that his closeness might ruse suspicion. Considering her small size, she needed every advantage she could get. He came when he heard the screams as they eerily echoed through the woods, hearing her pain as she tore out the last pieces of her soul and replaced them with the coldness that the Brotherhood required. It was her wish, not his, that she became this way. She wanted no more hurt, and she wanted it through accessing the Dark Brotherhood. He provided an opening.

By the time he arrived, he first laid eyes upon the now dead body of her mate, the one he had ordered killed. A satisfied grin fell across his face, but soon his eyes fell upon her mutilated face. His face twisted into a disgruntled sneer at first, for he had hoped the mother of his future children to be a bit less unsightly. Then it turned and a grin fell across his face as he said with a void that was eerily void of emotion: "If you wanted to be hurt that badly, you could've just asked." His tongue clicked against the back of his teeth in thoughtful gesture while he considered what her new name should be after she had recovered from... this. He had promised, after all.

Sheogorath walked slowly, ghostly, past the corpse of Terich-Mir to stand alongside her body. He did not hear what she murmured. "I understand the delicate pleasures that all-consuming pain can bring, but if you want to enjoy it a bit longer, we will have to teach you some better manners." He leaned to nip roughly at her ear, not even sure if he was playing with a corpse or a being that was yet to be salvaged. She did not seem very present and he murmured in her ear, "Don't worry, I won't let you slip away before we enjoy ourselves a bit more..." He clicked his tongue against the back of his teeth before he decided — "... Relmyna." Not much like Vuk, but the name seemed fitting, somehow. A few haphazard strokes of his tongue were placed along her broken, bloodied muzzle. As though suddenly growing bored with this task, Sheogorath swiftly moved to click his teeth around her scruff and he started to drag her body away, leaving a trail of blood behind him as he brought her somewhere safe; somewhere he could bring her herbs that would heal her; somewhere he could take the fragile pieces of her mind and build them up into something of his liking.
