Meeting thread for all!
@Pearl @Andalusia @Odette @Malice @Burke @Liri @Aeronwyn @Nico @Pyro @Ysengrin Not tagging the pups because I don't think Pearl and Seb would let them outside? :P

Sebastian brought the new comers to the Cove. It was not an actual Cove but it was a good protected clearing with the tree stump in the middle. The wind and snow was less because the trees protected them partly. Sebastian missed the leaved canopy but he knew that this was impossible to maintain in the winter. The temperatures were freezing and he knew they worst might still be coming. Sebastian jumped on the tree stump. When everyone gathered he cleared his throat. "Welcome to Broken Antler Fen. I will be your new alpha Sebastian. I am in charge here with my mate Pearl," he announced.

"We are in our rendezvous site 'The Cove'. Normally we all sleep here outside but seeing with these weather conditions you can make use of the dens under each of the bigger trees. There should be enough if you bunk up together," he explained. He hoped that they all would be civil about it. Sebastian posture was clear. He didn't want any arguing or fights. "Our food resources are under this tree stump but I might go out with a group to scout for food later," he explained. Now that they were with more the cache wouldn't supply them for long. Their lands were very wet, meaning that they were now living in a territory of ice. They needed the tree roots to support their dens. "Are there any other questions?"

Burke followed the male through their territory. He couldn't think much of it as it was mostly covered in snow. He could tell that it were mostly wetlands. To him that was not a bother seeing that he lived in Blackfeather and their swamp. Once they were in the clearly the winds were less harsh as out in the open. Sebastian took the lead and for once he could sit back and let him worry about all these things. It was actually great that he would not have to think of solutions. He kept Pyro and Vassago close to him. It was still cold and he wouldn't want them to grow too cold. Sebastian kept it brief instead of rambling forever like he could. Burke was glad. He wanted to rest his old bones.

He nudged Malice. It was pretty clear she and their pups would bunk up together in one den, if big enough. He had no more questions as he was tired from traveling. Perhaps later he would have some questions but for now he just wanted to have his pups and freezing bunnybutt outside this freaking cold. He looked over the others to see if they accepted. Burke's pale eyes glanced over his son. He looked more assertive than he had ever seen him, so that was definitely a curious thing to see.

The world was frozen, or so it seemed, as Liri followed after the group of wolves. The cold felt good, like home. She had been relatively left alone since there were no situations where she had to provide medical care. She kept to herself, not entirely sure where she would fit into the mismatched group joining Broken Antler Fen. This didn't bother Liri, she would be content if she were allowed to exist on the fringes for the rest of her life.

"Safe," the tiny voice whispered. Liri restrained an eye roll at its reappearance. Of course it's safe, do you see heads or blood marking the borders?

The swamps were frozen but still they itched at something in the back of her mind, reminding Liri of her captors' land. A shudder ran through her. This place would be different. It had to be.

No matter how stern their new Alpha, Sebastian, seemed; Liri could see that this place was family orientated. It brought forth thoughts of family, specifically her own. Birth family gone or dead, mates abandoned or the abandoner, and the idea of a future mate or children made her stomach clench in dread.

They stopped in a clearing, Sebastian jumped up on a tree stump and began to give a short but adequate speech. Liri nodded slightly, silently signaling her agreement to his terms. She could be loyal, even if she didn't know these people. Fake it til' you make it.

Her eyes darted nervously amongst the wolves, both Burke's original pack mates and those who belonged to Sebastian. She didn't know anyone well enough to automatically pair up with. Hopefully she would be assigned a snuggle buddy for the cold winter ahead, Liri would be relieved to have the decision out of her hands.

"Will you take volunteers for the food scouting? If you do, I would like to come if you don't mind," Liri spoke up. Keeping busy would be the best way to ignore the tiny voice and the darkness in her mind.

I may have rambled a bit
"i'll keep you here when I lose my mind."

Ysen paused in the middle of his step. So big! So large! Never had he seen such luscious lands save those that he had lived in for the short while of his servitude in Arthendal. And in winter, too! These lands, the boy felt, were blessed by nature - even in the midst of storming cold they were in comfort for now. He stuck close to the other wolves, mainly his lord and his lady, for they had brought him into the fold; for this he was grateful. Bird-bright eyes peered at the new alpha, silently judging, a smile ever upon his angelic face.
Ysen did not speak but he watched and he learned and he appeared.
Ysengrin refers to himself as The Dreamspinner most of the time.

Sebastien looked exactly as a younger Burke once might have, and the knowledge that Burke himself might have looked as such too, once, was decidedly odd. She had yet to form an opinion of him, of anyone here or this whole place, yet to form an opinion of her decision. Was this the right one? She hoped so, for more recent choices had decidedly not been. Her gaze travelled to Nico, and she wondered idly, if he thought to leave, would she follow him? Six months she had spent in the company of her Lord and Lady. Things, more or less, had remained the same. Nico, she knew for less time, and yet she cared for him in a way...different then she did Malice. Burke she felt an odd mixture of emotion toward, for he had offered her home, and yet nothing more. She did not think there was a great friendship between them, simply a vague respect.

And, obviously, not enough to allow her the position she so wished.

But that was behind them, and this was now. She would have to start anew, and as she was pulled out of her thoughts by the words of Liri, she decided that she ought to start now. Prove her worth, and perhaps have thechance to rise in the ranks as she had not had the chance to in Arthendal. This, could be her fresh start. No more anger, no more stupid choice, no more regrets. And as she stood silently beside @Nico, she offered to him a trepidant smile.

Malice was glad they had all found a new home - even with the current dreadful weather conditions. She had grown up in a warm place, and to for this cold she was not made. Often she found herself, or her weary muscles and mind, freezing up every now and then. It was not pleasant, but the Lady was not one to complain about something everyone was put up against. Besides, she had Burke and their two boys - her family would be there to share warmth with, even though Vassago was not keen on snuggling. Malice, though, was sure that with this abnormal and absurd cold her young lion would be up for cuddling when the night came. These were the days of winter she had always been scared of; plants frozen to the core, shining stars like embers hidden behind a clouded sky and prey as dead statues everywhere. How was their band, even with the support of this land's rightful owner, supposed to survive?

Swiftly then, she followed her spouse's son to what was known as "The Cove" by the native wolves, making sure their lions were to follow. Vassago she had to nudge, for he was distracted by many a flutter of a bird perched on a frozen twig. @Pyro she still had to find, but the mother knew her child would not run off. Ysengrin had followed - the brace and mysterious wordweaver whom Malice was fond of in a way - and for this, she was more than thankful. She was surprised to see how many of their band had followed - how many of them had survived, and how little they had lost. Surely this was some blessing - surely this would not stay forever. Malice had been created on grounds of ash between fire and deadly smoke. This would not last.

They entered a part of the fen that was neither Arthendal nor the brotherhood. The trees, as a shield, kept them safe while out there the wind raged on. The cold, however less threatening it was, had not gone. They were still to freeze if they would not have dens - but luckily the shielding man Sebastian had thought of that before she could say anything. A smile did she offer him - later they would talk about what had happened with her and his father. For now, Malice was keen on resting her graceful form to prepare for another day - but not before a nudge was given by her loving mate. The look in his pale blue eyes she knew, and she nodded, a smile never wavering. Which one they would pick for their family she had yet to figure out. Besides, many were still to speak up - it was only proper to wait for everyone to speak.

Idly, Nico observed that Sebastian, Burke's son, looked like the mirror image of his father. Strange...while many wolves resembled their parents to a certain extent, he'd only seen a rare few who were exactly younger version of their parent. It was strange, but a good strange, an interesting strange. It was the kind of strange that Nico liked - it helped to take his mind off more personal and important problems that he was unwilling to deal with as of currently. The move itself didn't bother him that much - he'd never been that attached to Arthendal anyways, and the whole reason he was there in first place was because of Aeronwyn.

If Nico wasn't being honest with himself, he would follow Aeronwyn wherever she went, even if she decided to go on a suicide mission to find the ends of earth or some bullshit. She was the reason why he came to Arthendal, she was the reason why he followed them to Broken Antler Fen, and she was the reason he was here right now. His loyalty lay primarily with his silver fae friend, though of course, he also held loyalty towards Burke and Malice, and as an extention of that, Sebastian and the wolves of his new pack. But he didn't know them that well, and thus, his loyalty to them waas only out of his inborn sense of duty towards his pack and family - nothing personal. Not yet, at least.

Shaking himself out of his thoughts, his gaze flickered to Aeronwyn. Quietly, he watched her eyes meet his, and allowed a small smile of amusement to grace his lips, the smile growing ever so slightly when she smiled back. Without thinking much of it, Nico inched closer to her remaining silent as ever but silently informing her that he was here, that he supported her no matter what, and that he wasn't going to leave. Right now, Nico realised with a small start, he cared only for her. That was strange.

He'd changed..hadn't he?

Nico remained silent, quietly observing.

These changes were proving to be a little bit overwhelming for the easily uncomfortable Pyro. In the matter of a couple weeks he'd learned that Burke had at least one other son, and that he had a pack somewhere which for some reason they would be joining permanently. Pyro liked the Isle, he did not want to leave it, he felt safe guarded by the two rivers, but now they were on an open field and there was nothing stopping the evil wolves of which Pyro had grown so scared of in his infancy. But he followed his parents without question, there was no way for him to avoid, refuse, or oppose to their decision. Pyro was still a child no matter how much he desired to be one of the grown ups.

Still, as he glanced around him, Pyro could see that everyone else from the Isle had followed. Aeronwyn, her partner, even the funny storyteller had come along, and their presence made the Fen feel a lot more like home than he expected. And obviously, his core family was what glued it all together. Dad and his experience, Mom and her warmth, and even Vassago's standoffish attitude, were a little bit of what Pyro most valued, and if they were here, the chocolate child would make his best to accept these sudden changes.

He pressed himself tightly to Burke as he caught up with the group. They had been gathered out there in the cold for some reason and Pyro was not happy about it, but still Burke's body warmth made it all the more bearable. The his voice, and a ring to it that Pyro could distantly recognize, pulled the boy's golden eyes to look at his older brother. He had never even known of his existence, and still, Pyro could feel a familiarity to him that he had not been expecting. Perhaps it was the way he spoke, so assertive like dad, or perhaps it was the fact that it looked like Burke was a I-came-from-the-future-to-warn-you-about-your-death-through-a-time-machine kind of deal. Anyway, Sebastian's presence felt a lot like Burke's and still noting like it at all.
