like a particularly stubborn tick sascha has clung to the wood's sides, making little effort to intergrate so much as survive. the strange girl who took them to blackfeather had vanished soon enough, and others, all coming and going. a bit too much coming and going for them to be arsed to keep up with it all. and as for their... loyalty... to kove -- oh let's not kid ourselves here. sticking in the forest's shadows meant a full belly and it is easy enough for them to remain quiet.

when damien gives word in passing of his depature, though, the melonii-espoused finds themselves drawn to follow in their footsteps. after all with damien gone the only melonii left in blackfeather are the babies they have no interest in, and frankly, the whole experience has been less than impressive for how much scrutiny they placed themselves under.

they trail the dark man and his companion silently, at first hesitant to announce themselves. they are melonii through and through as far as they're concerned but thus far none of the teekons' brood have seemed very interested or amused by their presence. still it is not their way to give in to doubt for too long, and so as the creep of pink and red warms the scene the gloaming epicene steps forth, announcing themselves with a low chuff.
