The Sentinels no roots

Embry could tell that he sat in the company of a great leader. There followed this brute an air of assurance and wisdom that compelled Embry to measure himself; how he interacted and presented his thoughts. It felt that Ford truly wanted to usher and witness improvement within his pack, both as individuals and as a whole. That was exactly what Embry had been searching for.

Though visibly surprised by the wolf's response, he found the words almost prophetic in tone. There was a quiet power in their solemnity that echoed the dark depths of the ocean. 

"And you will be our guide?" Embry gazed speculatively across the sand, partially by dint of conversation and partially by raw inquiry. Where had this male come from? What was his story? And more, had he bridged this gap between mortal behavior and that of a divine's?
