he gulped when the stranger approached. shit, this was gonna hurt was it? he could see it now: a brute watching blood spurt from his lip, crushed crustacean in jaw. he clenched his eyes shut when he reached out for it and winced when he heard a crunch. ok, unfathomable pain... now? huh, nothing. hogo opened his eyes and blinked at the crab’s lifeless body.

“uh, that easy huh?” the embarrassment started coming in full throttle now. he probably looked like a complete whackass prancing around like that. “you didn’t have to do thhat. i mean i guess i asked for help but y’know i could’ve done that myself.” hogo looked up and flashed an awkward crooked smile. “not that i’m not grateful or anything! it’s just uh...” jesus this guy probably didn’t understand a thing he was saying. it was easy to forget that wolves most likely didn’t know how to speak his tongue. “heh, sorry,” he chuckled softly, “uh, thanks for that. i’m hogo.”
