Redhawks were never the type to mince words, but she took Phox's statements in about the worst way they could be taken. Raven was typically slow to anger, but the anguish and sadness she might have felt was almost immediately extinguished by a tide of it in the wake of Phox's words. Her ears turned rearward and her eyes gleamed with ire as she replied in a barbed tone, "Is it because he isn't a *~*real*~* Redhawk? Because that's a bone Towhee has picked to death since the day Quixote became alpha and I gotta be honest, I'm getting fucking sick of it." It hadn't been so long ago that Towhee had bullied Raven into alphaship again because for some reason, having a non-Redhawk in the driver's seat was unacceptable for her. So Raven had reluctantly agreed to retake her position and here they were again -- more whining about Quixote.
