the tension broke as druid sighed, collapsing into the tall grasses— sending fireflies and moths and gnats a-flight in the cool summer air. witch grinned despite the solemnness of their conversation thus far, breathing in the heady air, letting the sounds of cicada wash through her and ring in her ears. though druid hadn't said it aloud, witch's thoughts mirrored her sister's: rivenwood was magickal. how could anyone ever leave?
my bones shall rest in this loam forever,the pale witch announced romantically, unceremoniously falling to the earth beside her sister, a cackling giggle spilling from her lips.
