Big Salmon Lake Rock & Bone

Exousia left the mountains for a short time, perhaps to keep an open mind and see if any other sort of territory might catch her eye or steal her heart. (So far, nothing but the heights of cold peaks and stunning views had warmed her thoughts.) But it was more likely that she searched for a place that had no neighbors -- none to disturb her growing ambitions and hungering restlessness. Most mountains that appealed to her had at least one nearby pack, making her hesitate to stake a claim.

She aimed now for a lake she had seen from a vantage point further north, but as she drew closer, she noticed that another had come to replenish themselves at the shore. It was likely that this was another pack wolf, but she could not be sure. The wind was not in her favor.

Giving the stranger a wide girth, Exousia padded up to the lake for a long drink, keeping an ear out for the other wolf as she scanned her eyes along the shore for any more passersby.
