It had not escaped Flecha’s notice how closely Sabah hung to their god.  She had become their personal shadow, and while she felt this shift in the dynamic worth noting, Ajaw was welcome to the company they deemed necessary.  She had no right to question their judgements in such.

Still, the Holcan approached her sister curiously and paused, regarding her with an expectant air.  If she had words from their god then this might be relatively new.  Usually they spoke to the Holcan themselves, as a whole, though perhaps she was merely reading signs that weren’t present.  The stillness in this new place had her on edge.
