Whereas FitzDutiful had found counselling to be a rather native skill, his warden had been a skill that he had literally fought for. He had practised spars, joined Fox on patrols, intercepted lynx's and would-be intruders and he was close to proving that he could do this job without someone needing to look over his shoulder.
