Finally getting around to this. For @Wynter and @Reek. :) Set between NP and SFT6. I'm going to be vague about her thread wit Saena right now.

Kaskara had met Saena, a wolf from her past, along this route from the mountain. Again Kaskara fled her territory, seeking some solace outside its borders. She loved the mountain, loved Nova Peak and all its inhabitants, but now that they were safe and sound, her outrider roots were beginning to call to her again.

The dark warrior wandered along the plains between the wide vistas, surrounded on either side by the looming mountain behind her and the glacier before. She always did her best thinking while moving, and today she was not only scouting the area, but looking for signs of larger game. She wasn't the gamekeeper, but she could do her part.

Wynter opened her eyes from what was a fairly restless snooze. She stood up stretched and padded towards the black male she had been travelling with since the Sound had split. Each day she began to enjoy his company more and more. She always felt happy when he was around and safe.

She could defend herself well enough but it was nice to have him around knowing that if she was in a situation she couldn't handle he would help her out. At least she thought he would. He seemed to enjoy having her around too. He seemed a little more relaxed she thought. She could be wrong but hey.

She padded up to the dark pelted male and gave him a friendly nudge. "I am going for a walk," she said with a smile. "Feel free to join me," she added as she padded out of the den and onto the ridge. She stretched once again before hopping down onto the ground. She headed in the general direction of the plains that ran between the mountains. Some place she had yet to see. Certainly she had no intention of climbing anymore mountains however. Her shoulder was sore from the last time and she was pretty sure so was Reek's. If he was even following that is.

After walking for a bit Wynter finally reached the plains. To her surprise there was in fact another wolf walking through the grasses. Being the curious wolf she was Wynter wandered closer. She remained alert however that this wolf might be mad if she interrupted something so she stayed a few feet away and let out a small chuff to get the wolf's attention.

OOC: This might be a crappy post was having a slight bit of writers block. Oh well. XD It happens right :P

Gonna have to be reaaaaally vague because of Reek's deal with Arion, so bare with me! Bleh post is bleh, and @Wynter, you're inbox is full!

Life had been pleasant with Wynter.  There was a relative simplicity to it in stark contrast to the tumultuous nature of living in Ankyra Sound.  Some would find living the domestic life boring, however, Reek found it's quiet stability to be largely relaxing after everything that had happened under the poor leadership of the coywolf, Caiaphas, who had, in her pseudo-parental rage, ran the pack directly into the ground.  Nevertheless, Reek felt as if he should have thanked her for her failures, as he was much happier on his own accompanied by Wynter instead of being stifled by the sirens.

Reek sprawled out in front of the entrance to their humble den, gnawing on a rather large stick and enjoying the sun on his back.  Pissing the day away as always.  Feeling Wynter's nudge on the back on his neck, Reek turned and shot her a quick smile.  "I wouldn't miss it for the world," he replied  rising to his feet to follow his friend wherever she would take him.

They walked for what felt like miles, and Reek never let his agouti friend out of his sight.  His attachment to her grew day after day, seeing as she was the only stable part of his life.  However, for Reek, emotional attachment always came as a challenge, but given the two's history together, it came easier than most.

Wynter had noticed the other wolf long before Reek ever did, as he was mainly focused on her.  Following behind his friend, he neared the other with a smile and a wag of his tail.

Though life in the Teekon Wilds was softer and safer than her birthplace, Kaskara still held some of the uncertainty and wariness of strangers, which meant she was often guarded toward strangers. The pair of wolves approached her, alerting her to her presence with a low chuff of air. Kaskara turned toward the pair, her orange and turquoise eyes taking them in, studying every detail that a quick glance could reveal. They were friends, it was clear, and lone wolves. There was a faint scent of Saena on their coats.

"Hello," she said softly, finally allowing a nod of her head. She relaxed, but not fully. Kaskara would never be fully relaxed around strangers. These were the second and third wolves she had found around this area. Kas wondered at that, but didn't pay it much mind at the moment. She'd have plenty of time to ponder it later. "You all from around here?"

The wolf turned to face her and Reek. "Hello," Wynter replied with a small nod. The wolf seemed friendly enough but Wynter would still remain alert. Although she wasn't as nervous as she may have been a few months ago. She was starting to become a lot braver and had learned to face some of her fears. Her fighting still wasn't that great but she would learn. Perhaps Reek could teach her. She had never really asked. Something to be brought up later perhaps.

Being a lone wolf although not really alone. Had actually been a good experience this time. At least she wasn't running away from a battle this time. She had stayed and fought. Even though it appeared it hadn't been worth it in the end. She did prove something though she believed to all the pack mates she had lost to the pack who ran them out. She was sure they had been watching.

"We aren't really from around here. We have been here for a few weeks though," she wasn't sure how much to say. She decided against mentioning the potential of a pack forming in the area. Mainly because she wasn't sure when that would be or where the territory would spread from. "I'm Wynter, and this is Reek," she mentioned with a small chuckle.

She knew the stranger wouldn't understand why she was laughing but she knew Reek would. He had introduced her to Saena because she may have been a little too cautious around the young wolf. Wynter had called him out about it though saying she was perfectly capable of introducing herself.

The smell of a pack lingered on the pelt of the dark-brown wolf.  The same smell that radiated from Arion when they met at the base of the ridge. She must have been from the same pack, Nova Peak.  However, this wolf didn't match any of the descriptions that Arion had depicted in concurrence with their deal.  She must have fallen under one of the unnamed others— or she was Kaskara, the beta that Arion failed to effectively describe other than providing a name and rank.  Otherwise, his information proved utterly worthless.

Wynter had begun to introduce the two in a friendly manner.  Reek couldn't help but shoot her a quick grin.  The shoe was on the other foot now.  The situation paralleled their initial encounter with Saena, where Reek had found himself a little too... wordsy. "What she said," Reek mused, nudging into Wynter with his muzzle.  "And you are?"

I apologize for the severe delay here. <3

Wynter. Reek. They shared some sort of inside joke, for Reek giggled, and though she was curious as to why they were laughing, she was sure it wasn't at her expense. She could be quite thick, sometimes, or endlessly optimistic; whichever one suited her at the moment. Kas studied them carefully, keeping her body language neutral. Though they were near her mountain home, they had not trespassed. There was a hint of Saena on their scents, and she wondered quietly at that.

"Nice to meet you Wynter and Reek." She nodded to both of them, wondering if it really was nice. She'd reserve that judgment until later. "I'm Kaskara." They spoke of not really being from around here, but having been here for a few weeks. She assumed, and probably rightly so, that they were traveling with Saena. "Are you part of Saena's forming pack?" She hoped her guess was right, but she didn't know one way or the other. They could have just come across her as Kas did a few days ago.

Wynter nodded her head as the ginger wolf introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you Kaskara," the name was nice. It suited the wolf too she felt. Just something about her the name fit. Wynter's ears twitched as Kaskara brought up Saena's pack. She wasn't sure she trusted this wolf just yet but maybe she knew Saena. An old friend?

"Yea, actually we are. Why do you ask?" she tilted her head curiously. Shifting her weight back and forth on her front paws. She wasn't really sure what to think right now. Although this wolf didn't seem like much of a threat. They had only recently settled down and were just beginning to bring up their numbers. Would be a great time for any rivals to pick on them.
