Sialuk is an <i>angakkuq</i> and <i>unataktuksak</i>, the equivalent of a shaman or warrior respectively in her northern pack. She therefore identifies herself as a warshaman in English. When not called upon for spiritual duties, she is a proud and territorial wolf who fights for her home with the ferocity of a bear. In times of war Sialuk spends much much of her time in spiritual healing, her usual rites and rituals for purification of wounds and the proper sending off of <i>anirniit</i>, or souls, to prevent their seeking revenge on the living. She sometimes fights on the front lines in war, but often leaves that to the males of the pack; she fights most fiercely during times of peace, ironically. She is a female of extremes, and often can become sassy. She may seem fierce and officious in certain circumstances, untamed in others, but Sialuk is a social being and relishes her place in the pack, respects authority, and does all in her power to aid those she protects. Her <i>tuurngaq</i>, or spirit guide, is the panther.
