Though a hybrid by blood, it takes no more than a fleeting glance to realize that Ragdoll's appearance is far more similar to his canine ancestry, rather than the lupine's side. Everything about his looks, from the colours his coat sports to the the small build he possesses, just screams 'dog'. Even his eyes, which are a blue so pale they're at risk of being viewed as white from afar, pay homage to his sleddog bloodline. Out of his siblings, he was the only one to inherit such a high percentage of the canine genes, and thus was left to be the shortest amongst them. Even so, his legs are not stubby, but would actually be considered quite long going by sleddog standards. The body those legs support is motorized by the muscles of a professional distance runner, but often go unnoticed. They are not as obvious to onlooking eyes, giving him more the slender look of a young ballerina, rather than the look of an experienced sports athlete.
The colours and features of Ragdoll's fur offers no assistance in making him appear larger than what he is. Despite it being a double coat, his pelt often looks as if it is only a single. It's not as thick-looking as one might expect it to be, but that does not prevent him from keeping warm. Like with the muscles that lie beneath his skin, the look of his fur can be quite misleading. Not just the thickness, either, but the colours as well. Though he shares the same blacks, browns, and tans one might find on a wolf, the arrangement of the colours has led to him being mistaken for a purebred canine in the past. Along his back, the black takes reign, falling to his sides in a manner that offers the look of a saddle slung over him. It follows down his tail, too, but sticks only to the top, thinning out as it nears the tip. As is trails up towards his head, it stops on his neck in order to fall down around to the sides of it, creating a sort of 'point' in the colouration halfway between the back of his neck and the front of his throat. The black reaches his head just enough to mix with a dark brown and take over his ears, but the brown takes control of the space on his forehead. The rest of his body consists of the tans taking over and claiming parts of him, starting from a darker tan near the black, and then morphing into a light sand colour as it nears his throat and underside. There is, however, a section of his stomach, close to his crotch, when the sand turned to white. The same goes for a space beneath the tip of his tail.
If his physical appearance alone isn't enough to give one the assumption that he is, without a doubt, a canine through and through, then the collar that hangs around his neck surely will. The accessory is a deep red, and gives off an old-type feel to it, due to all the weather and different elements it's been through with Ragdoll. How it has yet to wear away and fall off already is a mystery, but one the hybrid is not overly concerned with solving. A collar is just a collar, and he's grown use to the feel of it clinging to him.
