Appearance
Hawk`s murky grey eyes betray nothing of his feelings. These forbidding and smoky orbs, ringed by exaggerating dark fur, stare coldly from a tawny muzzle, face and throat. Further along his body, Hawkeye`s thin, rust-red pelt reluctantly filters out to reveal a thin, silver, tapering tail. Smaller than most Great Plains wolves, Hawk`s strength lies elsewhere.
Personality
Curious and persistent, Hawk (most likely) won`t be showing the emotion he feels to just any wolf. Deep with in his smoking grey eyes lies a smouldering flame, ironically not unlike the tragic wildfire of his puphood, that`s ready to be awakened at the first warning snarl. Seemingly indifferent to everything amd everyone, Hawkeye shrouds his feelings in cold practicality, always overshadowed by the fear of losing control.
Biography
Born to a loving but secluded Pack from the Naaghai Lowlands, young Hawkeye was named for his strange ringed eye markings - but not just that. Hawk is even more myopic than all wolves already are, and so relies on his - slightly - more developed sense of smell to "sniff together" the world around him.
But as his tiny Pack was planning a surprise celebration for his 12th moonday, disaster literally struck in the shape of a deadly thunderstorm. The dry August bracken only fed the wildfire, and Hawkeye, on the opposite edge of the territory, barely escaped with his life.
As he watched everything he`d ever cared about crumble into ash, he hardened himself, told himself - there was time to grieve later. For nearly a dozen sunhighs, he trekked towards the fabled Teekon Wilds. He found no joy in its splendour as he slinked from border to border, hoping for news of a very important Pack. In her last moments, Hawkeye`s mother had caught his eye through the billowing smoke. His mother howled, desperately, that he should "Trust the phoenix."
And then?
And then he found the Pack of Phoenix Maplewood.
