Pterodroma's base coat is a sleek, oily black tipped with a spray of silvery sea smoke, most heavily concentrated around the cheeks, chest, flanks, and toes. She is leanly built for her frame with sinewy legs and rather angular facial features. Her eyes are the deep, crystal blue of cold offshore waters.
