Dante was born in a forest on the Southern Rockies and raised by a lone wolf that wandered and roamed the trees,Dante and his caretaker stumbled upon a dead elk carcass and stopped to rest and fill they're empty stomach as they ate growls sounded from within the brush surrounding them and were met with four to five wolves,Dante's caretaker rose from the ground and took a protective stance in front of Dante's smaller weaker form growling in the general direction of the other wolves,Dante's caretaker wasn't as strong a he'd thought fro when the first bite was taken, the caretaker was wounded,the other wolves attacked the caretaker all at once outnumbering him and wounding him badly,Dante watched as his protector,his guardian ,his father, be ripped to shreds without a minutes time to fight back,Dante backed into the brush and lowered himself into the dirt waiting for the vicious growls and barks to finally put an end to his caretakers feeble whimpering,when the air was once silent and still Dante stepped out cautiously searching for any signs that his attackers were still present,Dante noticed a bloody trail from the elk carcass to behind some bushes and trotted over cautiously and was haunted by what was at the end of the trail,his caretaker was mangled and torn with flesh ripped from his neck and sides,he had holes in his stomach spilling his entrails beside him,his caretakers tail was no longer the dark fluffed black,but now a limp, hairless piece of skin and bone, Dante ran with fear and pain in his eyes without a second glace,he ran until his paws burned and when they did he kept running, he ran to get away,he ran out of fear,he ran to forget about the terrible force that took his only sliver of happiness away from him, he ran and never looked back.
