Kiyana was born into a family of loners. Her mother gave birth to seven pups, each of them where a tannish color, they had a variety of eye colors. However, in every litter there is always one pup that stood out. Their youngest pup, who was also the only girl, Kiyana. She had a jet black coat, with white speckles. Her eyes where different from the others, she kind of looked intimidating, even as a pup.
Two weeks after the litter of pups was born Kiyana's father went hunting, meanwhile the pups played with their mother, all except little Kiyana. She was sitting near her mother, glaring at her brothers when they tried to play with her. She even scared the biggest and oldest son.
Kiyana's mother got worried when her farther had yet to return around dusk. She left for about four minutes, she came back looking pale, even with her dark chocolate fur color. Kiyana gave her a look that said, "What's wrong?". Her mother broke down to tears. It had turned out a bear had gotten their farther while bringing home some rabbits. It took a year for her mother to recover.
A year later Kiyana and her brothers where bigger and stronger. Kiyana rose up in their "pack" in dominance. She was the groups leader. One day her brothers went out on a hunting party and her eldest brother didn't like having Little Kiyana leading him. He refused to go with the group and insisted he go alone. Two hours later his mother found him dead, again by a bear.
Kiyana's mother had lost two family members by a bear now. She was fed up with this bear infested place and decided she and her family should flee. Kiyana disagreed with fleeing she saw it as a sign of weakness. She always fought for herself. So while her fleeing family went east, Kiyana stayed put.
Since Kiyana's family wasn't an official pack, she now is and to this day remains a loner.
