Profile of Darsal: Details
Appearance
For a wolf of Mackenzie Valley origin, Darsal is not particularly striking at first sight.

She would be considered mid-size if not for her height, which is quite a bit taller than average, but not exceptional. The base of her pelt is a lightened, faded gray, whereas the ridges of her back are riddled with a shroud of dark pigment, as if a shadow has been burned into her fur.

Although she is tall, the 5.5-foot length of her nose-to-tail span is below average, and this can be a hindrance to her balance. Her thick, sturdy build somewhat compensates for this downfall.

At 125 pounds, Darsal is somewhat heavy for a wolf of the Teekon Wilds, but this is mainly due to her height of 36 inches at the shoulder. Due to the secure diet of Boli Tundra packlife, she was once a bit stockier, but now has lost a few pounds in the Wilds. Her strength and endurance are relatively higher than average, whereas her swiftness and agility are points of low. The she-wolf's deep-set eyes are an orange-brown hue, a stark contrast to her overall muted appearance.
Personality
Darsal's personality may seem nonexistent or dull from an outside point of view, but once a wolf truly gets to know her and earns her trust, she will reveal that behind her stoic, dutiful barrier is a flowingly poetic soul. Her lack of communication with her pack as a cub subsequently caused her to form this wall of privacy, not a dark upbringing of violence and abuse.

To truly get to know Darsal Corvega, one must remember the age-old phrase, "Don't judge a book by its cover." On the outside, Darsal seems frigid and aloof, someone whose only thoughts are her own goals. This is portrayed through her usual lack of speech; when she does speak, she is curt and gives minimal detail. One might even say she's the no-nonsense type. Thus, it's not a rare thing for wolves to simply take her for an unimportant, pretentious character.

The aforementioned "barrier" that Darsal keeps around those she doesn't deem trustworthy is not like that of many; it is put there for the benefit of others, not Darsal. She was raised to believe that internal matters aren't important and would only be a nuisance for other wolves.

The best way to prove to Darsal that you are dependable is your ability to commit. Befriend her and show her — don't tell her — that you're there to stay, and she will "waste some of your time to dump some info on you," as she puts it.

Deep down, Darsal is the ultimate poet of nature. She notices every miniscule detail in her surroundings and could paint a string of words for each one. She is fascinated by the immensely intricate web of life around her and feels as if there may be nothing more enjoyable than taking a brisk walk during the spring.

Otherwise, this wolf's a creature of contrast: she dislikes pups but would like some of her own someday; she favors control but avoids situations that she could guide; she enjoys responsibility but can't bear the thought of taking orders without question; she has utmost determination but her melancholic outlook on life drowns her when she attempts to set goals, and most notably, she admires the fauna around her but is also an avid huntress. Even her pelt is a canvas of conflicting hues.
Biography
Darsal Corvega's story? You're probably going to be disappointed.

She came from a small, secluded pack in an area called Boli Tundra, which is located somewhere far north of Snowforest Taiga. Her family was safe, serious, and self-sufficient (for the most part). They consisted of Darsal's parents and around ten of their pups.

At the time when Darsal was born, her parents were on their fourth litter. By this time, their first litter had already matured into adulthood and left on their own. Darsal was neither the firstborn nor the runt of their litter; she was just... there.

She usually kept quiet, even in early youth, and because of this, her speech development was quite delayed. Yet, in a frantic attempt to keep up with her siblings, she made an effort to talk often; not to others, but to herself. Often, that dark pup would be found mumbling to herself for no particular reason about no particular thing. However, this evolved into a need to create a sentence for everything she saw, and this later became her love for language and thus a poetic quality was embedded. Just as well, at this point is when her lifelong principle of "don't-bother-others-with-your-sappy-thoughts" became permanent.

Although the tall, lumbering Darsal would go on to be something uncommon for her breed in the Teekon Wilds, she was well-fit for the stocky variant of Mackenzie Valley wolves in Boli Tundra. Her upbringing was quite normal, and no massive amount of damage was done by some huge bear massacre, tornado, potato famine, et cetera.

She lived a normal life up until her third year, when she met Mako. Yes, he was a love interest, but no, he wasn't your classic troublemaking, rule-breaking outsider who romances the lady into a tale of mischief and regret. He was perfect for Darsal: handsome, charismatic, and armed with plenty of solace... only, he was a loner. When Darsal's mother found out about this, she forbade Darsal from meeting with Mako. She made it clear that she was strictly opposed against her daughter socializing with outsiders until Darsal was ready to leave the pack.

Enraged and defiant, Darsal left with Mako to travel alone with him, perhaps even explore the southern area of the Teekon Wilds that Mako was always speaking of (but never explaining how he knew of them). So, they departed southward, keeping out of danger but not fending off curiosity. Meanwhile, Darsal's feelings for Mako grew unbreakably strong, considering her prominent fascination with his wits and unrestricted openness.

Yet, all things must come to an end, and sometimes endings are abrupt. Now, after a couple of months once they'd reached the Teekon Wilds, they'd developed a routine of going about their daily business, returning to a certain thicket of brambles, and waking together as the sun rose. Only, around her fourth birthday, that last thing didn't happen; at least not completely.

Mako simply wasn't there. He just... wasn't. Every trace of him was gone, and there was no sense for Darsal to make of it. For a couple of days or so, she was in a mental breakdown, scouring a ten-mile radius for a pawprint, a tuft of fur, something that could prove that Mako had actually even existed. Maybe she'd gone mad; she didn't care. She just had to keep looking.

Nothing turned up, and she gave in to some sort of blank state of mind for a few weeks.

For several months, she roamed the Teekon Wilds as a lone wolf, mostly recovered from the inexplicable incident with Mako. During that time, she was somewhat melancholy and standoffish.

She has now joined the ranks of the Royal Fire Court, a pack whom she approached to join one night. Although the unlikely clan is few and forming, she has pledged herself to them, and hopes to find fulfillment within their ranks.
Relations
Darsal's parents are alive, as far as she knows.

Her siblings are many and far-between, but they're all centered in the Boli Tundra.

Darsal had a mate, Mako, but they are no longer together for unknown reasons. They had no children.

Player Notes
I'm an avid writer, published author, aspiring pianist, high school student (unfortunately), and quite the ginger. I also have sketching in my list of hobbies, but I haven't done very much of it in recent years.

Darsal and Adeline are my only accounts. Feel free to PM me.

Also, I'm a sucker for stories on biographies. I've probably already read your entire profile.
