Mysti never knew her father, but she did know her mother, Lili. Lili was bound to Mysti and her siblings as any mother is, but that was as much of a relationship that happened between them. When Mysti was only four months old, Lili decided her pups were too difficult to care for. She left Mysti with her two brothers and sister. One of Mysti's brother fell prey to a hungry fox, and the other wandered into the woods, and was never seen again. Mysti ate beetles and baby birds and anything she could find until she was old enough to hunt. Her sister, Riverni, never left Mysti's side. They both miraculously scavenged a life for themselves until one day. A human found the pups. Mysti was able to escape, but Riverni was not. Mysti then wandered around, growing older, learning how to hunt. It was while she was wandering when she entered the Teekon Wilds.
