A warhound made of spartan stone. At first glance, one might assume Rantzau a prehistoric rendition of his northern cousins, for he is unshapely and immense, with little refinement to be observed. Many of Rantzau's physical traits resemble gigantism, and may explain the disproportionate enormity of his size. Rantzau's physique is long-lined and calls back to an ancient, colossal order, for he possesses thick limbs and a substantial heartgirth. His height challenges all, and he stands as a wolf in full command of his power. Rantzau’s unsophisticated features are pulled together by thick ruff and brutish muzzle, with primitively short ears that show teeth had many times abused them.

Rantzau's pelt is thick and interspersed with black-tipped copper hues, with pale cream countershading typical of his species. His eyes are an overcast grey, and seem objectively small.
