Tova comes from a small clan located in the southern parts of Montana. She was raised alongside other puppies of her pack, but had no siblings of her own. Due to harsh conditions, her mother was not able to carry a large litter size and lost most of the pups due to complications at birth. Being the only child though had its perks. She was taught to take care of herself the older she got, but still acted very much like a puppy. She would remain that way until one day, she decided to go off on her own.

Tova went on a small hunt. More of a practice hunt really. And so far it was going alright. At almost a year old, she was confident that she could at least hunt small things for herself. Tova was hunting for field mice and small rabbits. Or at least attempting to. Soon she caught the sight of one and stalked it as quietly as she could. Her eyes locked on to the creature with absolute precision. Unlucky for her though, she didn't notice the metal contraption laying on the forest floor. Tova kept on creeping towards the rabbit. She was almost there. Then a clanking and snapping sound came to life. Incredible pain shot up her leg and into her shoulder. A man made trap had clamped itself on to her leg.

Letting out a yelp, Tova cried for her pack mates. But no one was coming. At least not anyone she could clearly recognize. Her eyes widened with fear. It was a two legged. He came walked closer to her. She snapped and growled in fear. Suddenly he took out a large stick looking thing and put it against her neck. Tova thought she was a goner. But instead of harming her, the man let her go. The metal monster pried open and she took off in a flash, rushing straight back to her parents.

As soon as she spotted them, she explained to them what had happened. They helped mend her wound as best as a wolf could. Then no longer allowed her to fend for herself. Time had passed. Tova was now over two years old. It was time to leave. She told her mother and father of her plans. They had fear in their eyes. Her parents feared what could happen to her if she was on her own again. But Tova explained that she needed this. That she needed to prove to them and to herself that she could handle things on her own. And just like that, Tova took off to find her place in the world.
