At a Glance
Small and incredibly fluffy, with dark chocolate fur and creamier markings. What stands out the most is a white marking on his chest, shaped almost like an eagle in flight and trailing down his stomach. When you get closer, the pale stripe circling the end of his muzzle and drawing a line up between his green eyes becomes more noticeable.
Profile of Rory: Details
Appearance
Rory is short in stature, barely reaching 16 inches in height. His small, slender form has often been cause for ridicule, but what he lacks in stature Rory makes up for in speed and agility. He can run fast and far, which is a plus when he's sometimes been mistaken for prey.

His dark chocolate fur makes it easy to blend into the shadows, and his size makes it easy to remain hidden in plain sight. His paler markings are often concealed with mud caked into his fur; whether that's intentional or just carelessness, not even Rory can say. His most striking feature would be the bright, laughing green eyes--not mentioning his crooked teeth. Those who pay close attention will see that his two front paws are also white.
Personality
Hyperactive and full of boundless energy, Rory can be quite obnoxious most of the time. He doesn't have a serious bone in his entire body, and when his jokes prove to be inappropriate he generally just keeps his maw shut--much to the relief of those who know him. Rory's whole purpose in life is to brighten the days of those around him, ignoring the bad and always finding a silver lining to every cloud.
Biography
Rory's parents didn't stick around long after he and his siblings were born. At the time he was the runt, so they suspected he wouldn't live; neither had realized that he was just a miniature version of themselves. Rory had two other siblings, one born of his mother's affair with a very tiny shepherd, but he doesn't know where they are or what has become of them.

After being abandoned, he was found by a wolf grieving the loss of her own still-born pups. When she stumbled across him, she did the only sensible thing and took him in. Thus Rory was taken in under her pack. Everyone except his "mother" viewed him more as an occasionally-amusing, mostly-annoying pet than a member of the pack. Rory suffered a lot of teasing for being so small and helpless, but they could never crack his cheerful mask enough to see how much it hurt.

When hunting lessons began, Rory was eager to learn. His mother did her best to show him how, but his size worked against him when trying to hunt in a group. He was good at catching rabbits, but not much else; his instincts were directed more toward herding, and after a disastrous attempt to use those skills for the benefit of the pack Rory simply gave up. He ran off into the wilds one fateful night and never looked back.
